Dargaville Community CCTV Project

The DCDB initiated this project to provide a proactive and collaborative approach to making Dargaville a safe place to live, work, and visit.  Stage One of the Project has been completed, a major part of this being the infrastructure based at the Dargaville Police Station and CCTV cameras located in several high risk public areas within the township.  The Dargaville Community CCTV Project has been planned and implemented in close collaboration with the New Zealand Police and major funding organisations - Pub Charity Ltd, Kaipara District Council, Lotteries Grants, and National Assistance Foundation.  We are also working with local businesses to link existing CCTV cameras to the Project and for the funds to maintain the CCTV Project until a Targeted Rate can be put in place.
